This lovely wool painting depicts a young Bengal cat with a pink hibiscus flower on her head. I created this portrait with the needle felting technique, a process where I use barbed needles as my paintbrush and apply layer after layer of wool onto a piece of fabric.
For this piece, I felted merino wool onto a sheet of sky blue wool felt. The painting measures 10 inches round and is framed in a solid wood embroidery hoop, ready to hang on your wall. For extra security, I backed the hoop with a piece of card stock.
